Union-negotiated and Taft-Hartley
(jointly-trusteed) plans comprise a large segment of our business.
We work with trustees, unions, and employers to establish welfare benefit
plans pursuant to collectively bargained contracts. Our services
extend to pension plans and vacation plans as well.
In our capacity as contract administrator,
we provide health and welfare services including:
- Consulting services relating to plan
design and implementation, including ERISA required participant disclosure.
- Actuarial review of funding alternatives
and recommendations relating to self-funding contract type, including
minimum premium and retrospective refund arrangements.
- Administer delinquency procedures and
ancillary programs such as apprenticeship, vacation, and medical reimbursement
benefits.
- Perform escrow eligibility administration
under either hour bank or dollar bank eligibility system.
- Perform FASB 106 and retiree health
care funding calculations.
- Summary plan description, employee
benefit statements, and required ERISA disclosure to participants.
- Process health care claims and provide
statistical cost and utilization management data concerning the plan's
operation.
- Negotiate managed care and provider
networks for medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug delivery,
to help contain program costs.
- Accounting and financial statements.
Pension services include:
- Actuarial valuation and funding status
reports.
- Comprehensive management reports.
- Summary plan description, employee
benefit statements, and required ERISA disclosure to participants.
- Assistance to auditor in required filings.
- Accounting and financial statements.
