Administrative Services Group, Inc. (ASGI) is an independent third party contract administrator and employee benefit consulting firm established in September 1997, located in Lexington, Kentucky. While the company is new, the staff of ASGI has many years experience in the employee benefits business, particularly in the administration of association multiple-employer group insurance programs.

Additionally, the systems support we bring to this new venture are highly developed specialized systems that provide excellent control and management tools for the operation of such programs.

The administration includes not only combined billing of benefit programs and Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) required reporting and disclosure but other services at the employer’s election. The support and information available to the administrator allows us to offer ancillary services such as Section 125, Consolidated Omnibus Reconciliation Act (COBRA) administration and reporting at very competitive rates.

ASGI represents over 25 trade associations consisting of 2,700 employer firms and 40,000 employees. ASGI is a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) and the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators (SPBA).

ASGI serves as consultant and/or administrator to health and welfare plans in Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, Ohio, and Kansas. In addition, ASGI provides administrative services to retirement plans, as well as provinding other employee benefit consulting and administrative services for employers, unions, and insurance companies.

ASGI has its own computer hardware and software. Electronic data processing plays an essential part in returning the volume of information necessary for the administration of multiple plans with a large volume of participants. Appropriate software continues to have major significance in responding to changing governmental regulations of employee benefit plans. All of our programs are Year 2000 compliant.

The principal office of ASGI is located at 333 West Vine Street, Suite 500, in Lexington, Kentucky. ASGI employs over 50 employees in its office and is primarily staffed by consultants and other professionals with various insurance, legal, accounting, actuarial, marketing and data processing backgrounds. The technical backgrounds of the staff of ASGI, coupled with intensive research efforts, enables us to keep abreast of new developments. Our staff also concentrates on the communication skills necessary to consult effectively with clients in the highly technical field of employee benefits.
